Rockwell Collins has been providing its services to Airplan airports since 2010. The airports include José María Córdova, Rionegro (MDE), Los Garzones, Montería (MTR), Las Brujas, Corozal (CZU), Olaya Herrera, Medellín (EOH), Antonio Roldán Betancur, Carepa (APO), and El Caraño Quibdó (UIB).

MDE and EOH airports are installed with Rockwell Collins’ ARINC vMUSE check-in and ARINC SelfServe kiosks.

"This new contract will allow us to provide better services for airlines and passengers."

The ARINC solutions allow the two Colombian airports to operate several airlines without additional investment in their infrastructure.

MDE will use the solutions to determine the most time-efficient use of airplanes, stands and terminal gates, as well as enhance management of its existing resources.

"This new contract will allow us to provide better services for airlines and passengers.

"Rockwell Collins’ airport solutions will continue to modernise aviation transportation and infrastructure in the region."

Under the terms of the renewed agreement, the company also has to provide full technological upgrade to airport equipment to meet the latest standards.

The upgrade will include a modern, virtualised core design to save space and reduce energy expenses.

The solutions installed at the six airports include ARINC vMUSE, ARINC AirDB 7, ARINC InfoHub, ARINC AirVUE, ARINC SelfServ, and ARINC Resource Management System.

Earlier in 2015, Rockwell Collins deployed 150 of its ARINC vMUSE common use passenger processing system (CUPPS) workstations at London’s Glasgow Airport.
