Lotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe (LPR), Poland’s public air medical rescue operator has taken delivery of four new H135 (formerly EC135P3) helicopters from Airbus Helicopters.
With the new delivery, which brings LPR’s total H135 fleet to 27 units, LPR aims to extend its helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) operations in the country.

The fleet also expects to modernise Poland’s helicopter-based medical evacuation services.
Airbus Helicopters undertook an intensive technical acceptance process at its Donauwörth site in Germany before delivering the new H135s to LPR’s main base in Warsaw.

The latest delivery of four new H135 helicopters was completed following the order secured by Airbus Helicopters from LPR in August 2015.
The entire fleet of LPR’s helicopters are said to be equipped with required specifications such as sophisticated avionics, full NVG certification and a fully equipped EMS cabin.
Airbus Helicopters has delivered 1,200 H135 family helicopters to customers worldwide. Most of the H135-family helicopters are being used for emergency medical services (EMS) duties.
In December, Airbus Helicopters delivered two H135 helicopters to the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF). The H135 helicopters will be used for advanced training missions.
