Under the deal, Lufthansa Technik will be the initial licensed service provider to carry out MRO services on the A350 XWB nacelle system.

The aerostructures division of UTC Aerospace Systems will provide its proprietary knowledge, including repair procedures, access to OEM tooling, technical publications, worldwide performance and technical data needed to deliver A350 XWB MRO services to Lufthansa Technik.

"The agreement will give A350 XWB operators more options for locations of their nacelle MRO services from high-quality, OEM or OEM licensed repair stations."

Lufthansa Technik will also provide several assets to support repairs, including tools required to perform the repairs.

UTC Aerospace Systems aerostructures business president Marc Duvall said: "The agreement will give A350 XWB operators more options for locations of their nacelle MRO services from high-quality, OEM or OEM licensed repair stations.
