US-based private equity firm AE Industrial Partners (AEI) has acquired composite and metallic component and tool manufacturer AC&A.
AEI is involved in the aerospace, power generation and specialty industrial sectors, serving technical manufacturing, distribution and supply chain management, as well as maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and industrial service-based businesses.

The companies have not disclosed details of the deal.
AEI managing partner David Rowe said: "AC&A’s strong customer relationships, highly specialised technologies, and cutting-edge capabilities make it a unique supplier within these high-growth sectors.
"AC&A is truly a ‘one-stop shop’ for design, development, and fabrication that has created a unique solution for its customers."
Last year, AEI had acquired two platforms, namely Belcan, a global supplier of engineering project management and technical staffing solutions, and Kellstrom Materials, a provider of component support and supply chain management for airlines and air transport operators worldwide.

By GlobalDataIn February, AEI subsidiary AE Materials Group (AEMG) bought The Aircraft Group (TAG), which supplies aircraft consulting services for the purchase, sale or leasing of commercial aircraft and fleet asset management.
With the deal, AEMG expects to expand its service and capabilities to its customer base.
