Airbus has delivered its A320ceo aircraft to Vietnamese carrier Jetstar Pacific Airlines.

This is the first of ten A320ceo aircraft ordered by the airline.

Delivered to Jetstar Pacific Airlines in Toulouse, France, the plane will join an existing fleet of 12 leased A320s with the airline.

Based at Ho Chi Minh City, Jetstar Pacific is a joint venture between the Qantas Group and Vietnam Airlines, which holds a 70% stake in the JV. Qantas has a 30% interest.

Vietnam Airlines operates 36 domestic and international routes, and is part of the larger Jetstar Group that links more than 80 destinations in 17 countries.

Other carriers in the group include Jetstar Airways (Australia), Jetstar Japan (Japan), Jetstar Asia (Singapore).

The A320 family is a single-aisle product line and has so far secured more than 13,000 orders. In addition, over 7,600 aircraft have been delivered to 400 customers across the world.

This family of aircraft comes in four sizes – A318, A319, A320 and A321 – and accommodates from 100 to 240 passengers.

The A320 family is claimed to have the widest cabin in the single-aisle market with 18in-wide economy seats as standard.

Airbus generated revenues of €67bn and had 134,000 employees last year.
