Los Angeles City Council in the US has awarded a $30m contract to Vanir | ASL to provide project and construction management services for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), as part of a $14bn capital improvement programme.
Vanir | ASL, which is a joint venture between Vanir Construction Management and ASL, will provide project, construction and design management services under the terms of the seven-year contract.

Other services include stakeholder coordination, constructability review, change management and LAWA divisional support.
The council voted to approve contracts with Vanir | ASL and several other companies to help manage terminal, airside, and landside projects at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Van Nuys Airport.
Vanir Construction Management owner and CEO Dorene Dominguez said: “Vanir | ASL is pleased that the board of airport commissioners chose to make the inclusion of small, mid-sized, and local businesses a priority.
“75% of Vanir | ASL subconsultants are certified small businesses and our culture of collaboration and inclusion is important to give Los Angeles the airport it deserves.”
