Italian airline Alitalia and Jordan’s flag carrier, Royal Jordanian, have signed a code-share agreement to provide more travel options for their customers between Jordan and Italy and beyond.

Under the agreement, Royal Jordanian will place its RJ code on its partner’s daily service between Amman and Rome, as well as on connecting flights from Rome to 16 cities in Italy.

Similarly, Alitalia will place its AZ code on RJ’s weekly flights between Rome and Amman and beyond to Aqaba and Larnaca.

Further, RJ’s Royal Plus members and Alitalia’s MilleMiglia members will be able to earn miles while travelling on each other’s code-share flights.

Ports of Jersey has signed a ten-year agreement with global travel retailer, Dufry, which will continue to provide duty-free goods at Jersey Airport in the Channel Islands.

Effective from 1 March 2017, the new contract will increase retail space in the airport’s departure lounge by 260m², bringing the total space to 750m².

The retail layout will be redeveloped and new products will be added to stores from mid-2017.

Turkish airline Atlasglobal has initiated a code-share partnership with European airline, Air France, to provide a wide range of services for their customers on the Paris-Charles de Gaulle – Istanbul service route.

Passengers of both airlines can travel on three daily flights between the cities.

Furthermore Air France customers have a wide choice of Atlas-operated flights from Istanbul to 11 destinations in Turkey, while Atlas’ customers can benefit from 11 additional Air France services from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to France.

The agreement also enables the passengers to earn and spend miles as part of the Flying Blue frequent flyer programme.
