Spanish air navigation service provider (ANSP) Enaire has signed a cooperation agreement with UK ANSP NATS to identify areas for improvement to upgrade air traffic management at Barcelona-El Prat Airport.

Under the terms of the deal, Enaire will use NATS’ expertise in operating environments with high traffic density as that of the Spanish airport.

This will help modernise the airport procedures for controlling air traffic and designing routes.

In addition, NATS’ expertise will help enhance the general efficiency of operations in the airspace around Barcelona-the Prat Airport, particularly in the approach area where aircraft land and take-off.
