JetZero, an aviation and aerospace component manufacturing company, has selected a flight control solution from Thales for its eco-friendly aircraft.
Thales will deploy the Fly-by-Wire solution on JetZero’s aircraft.
Installed in more than 12,000 aircraft, the flight control solution automatically calculates and adjusts the positions of the control surfaces during flight.
The aircraft will benefit in terms of flight safety, aircraft performance, reliability and availability from the system, stated Thales.
Others benefits include protection, reduced pilot workload, reduced aircraft weight, optimised handling qualities and reliability.
JetZero’s blended wing body aircraft consumes 50% lesser fuel compared to existing engines.

It also offers internal volume to house hydrogen.
JetZero expects to perform full scale demonstration of the aircraft by 2027.

In September this year, Budget airline easyJet became JetZero’s first European airline partner with a new agreement to provide operational insights and expertise to support the development of its blended wing body aircraft as a hydrogen-powered jet.
