Manchester Airport Group (MAG) subsidiary MAG USA has opened an Escape Lounge in Terminal 2 at Ontario International Airport (ONT) in the US.
MAG USA agreed to open two new lounges in Terminals 2 and 4 after signing a 10-year agreement with Ontario International Airport Authority (OIAA).
The lounge in Terminal 4 is scheduled to open later this year.
The contract will see MAG USA design, build and operate the common-use Escape Lounges at ONT with an investment of $4m.
All passengers at the airport will have access to the new 2,800ft² premium lounges.
OIAA CEO Mark Thorpe said: “We’re pleased to welcome escape lounges and MAG USA to Ontario. Their arrival adds to the excitement and momentum that has been building at ONT in recent months and reflects our commitment to provide our customers with the best amenities possible.”
Escape Lounge offers an array of services to passengers including hot and cold food, beverages, relaxing seating with power outlets, high-speed Wi-Fi, and up-to-date flight information.
The lounge is part of the American Express Global Lounge Collection that gives American Express Platinum Card members and two guests with complimentary access to all US locations.
General passengers will need to pay $45 along with applicable tax for entry at the door. A $5 discount is available for online reservations prior to arrival.
The latest ONT lounge joins other Escape Lounges in St Paul International Airport in Minneapolis, Oakland International Airport, Reno-Tahoe International Airport, Bradley International Airport near Hartford, and Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport in South Carolina.
At least six more lounges are planned to be opened this year.
