Canada’s Winnipeg Richardson Airport plans to open a new premium lounge in late 2014.
The lounge area has been developed by Hong Kong-based airport lounge provider Plaza Premium Lounge Management.
It will feature a standalone bar, a broad variety of food offerings, extensive glass walls and a floor plan that allows travellers to tailor their experience.
Designed to be bright, contemporary and accessible to all, the lounge marks the brand’s 12th lounge opening in Canada.
Plaza Premium Lounge Management founder and CEO Song Hoi-see said: "Our goal is to elevate passengers’ travel experience and we believe that the opening of this state-of-the-art lounge will achieve exactly that at Winnipeg’s new terminal."
Winnipeg Airports Authority president and CEO Barry Rempel said: "This is an exciting new concept for our passengers and our airport.
"We strive to provide our customers with the best service and experience we can, and this partnership with Plaza Premium Lounge will allow us further enhance our passengers experience while they’re at our airport."
Plaza Premium Lounge Management has over 110 locations in 28 international airports throughout the world and it plans to open 50 new locations in the next two years.
The company plans to open Plaza Premium Lounges at London Heathrow’s Terminals 2 and 4 by the end of 2014.
