Jet Aviation Singapore

Jet Aviation Singapore has officially opened its new $25m, 7,500m² hangar facility at Seletar Aerospace Park, following a year-long construction under a design-build contract with Aircraft Support Industries (ASI).

The new 5,000m² hangar, which has been installed adjacent to the company’s existing 2,700m² hangar, was constructed to address the growing demand for large, long-range business jets in the region.

The hangar can now accommodate aircraft such as the Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) and Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ), as well as permits up to five Gulfstream G650 or five Bombardier Global Express 7000 jets.

Its apron has direct access to the tarmac and has also been expanded by 9,300m².

JTC Corporation (JTC) assistant chief executive officer Heah Soon Poh said: "With a strong vision to leverage Singapore as the centre for its business expansion in this region, we believe that Jet Aviation’s presence will further augment the synergies within the integrated aerospace cluster at Seletar Aerospace Park."

Speaking about the investment, Jet Aviation Group president Rob Smith said: "We look forward to working with our partners for many years to come and to serving our customers from this and the rest of our global network of facilities. Our highest priority remains the safety and security of our customers."
