Exova has invested in fatigue and fracture mechanics testing at its Mississauga, Ontario, Canada facility, in a move to strengthen its aerospace capabilities.

The new services include K-R curve testing, JIC testing, crack propagation testing of corner crack specimens and direct current potential drop monitored fatigue testing, and will support the company’s aerospace customers in North America.

Previously, the similar mechanical and fatigue testing operations have been carried out in the US, but the company has decided to provide the international quality and reliable services in Canada to address increasing demand.

The Mississauga facility, which is expanding its scope of services, offers a high-level of technical expertise to its customer base, catering to both production and R&D related work.

The latest investment is in line with Exova’s plan to develop its aerospace testing business, which has 13 NADCAP approved facilities in several locations including the UK, US and Sweden.
