In addition, new digital networks will also be deployed across the airport's concourses and baggage claim areas.

“Our new media programme will offer a whole new level of opportunities for passenger engagement."

With the integration of terminal-wide advanced advertising solutions, the new project aims to enhance services for approximately seven million passengers travelling through GMIA annually.

The airport's digital modernisation programme will help expand the overall market for outdoor advertising company Clear Channel Outdoor Americas (CCOA) in Milwaukee County.

Milwaukee County executive Chris Abele said: “This new agreement helps the airport create a sense of place, generate additional revenue and keep costs low for travellers.

“I am pleased that Clear Channel Outdoor Americas is helping us make visitors aware of the many national brands that call Milwaukee home.”

The advertising project will also provide sponsorship and marketing opportunities, information kiosks, and exterior terminal assets, such as parking decks and jet bridges.
