Germany-based sensor supplier Hensoldt has been awarded a contract by Austro Control for the supply of two high-performance radar systems.

Installation of radar systems is part of the refurbishment of air traffic control infrastructure in Austria.

The contract includes delivery of ASR-NG combined primary / secondary radar and a standalone MSSR 2000 I secondary radar.

Vienna International Airport will be equipped with the ASR-NG radar, while air traffic control system at the top of Feichtberg Hill in Upper Austria will feature the secondary radar.

Hensoldt’s radar systems will ensure reliable detection provided by the ‘Mode S’ air traffic control standard.

The contract will be implemented by ABM’s subsidiary UK OmniServ from February 2019. UK OmniServ will be responsible for the check-in, baggage, and ground operations of Ryanair at the airport.

London Stansted Airport is the airline’s biggest base, with more than 40 aircraft.

Voyager Jet Center has agreed to sell its fixed-base operator (FBO) assets at Allegheny County Airport (AGC) in the US to Lynx FBO Network, a portfolio company of Sterling Group.

Scheduled for completion in October 2018, the deal is the third FBO acquisition for Lynx this year and the sixth FBO location.

Voyager Jet will become Lynx’s tenant and will carry out its executive aircraft management, private jet charter, corporate jet sales, and maintenance from the same facilities.
