Metron Aviation Appoints Joe Hof as Director of Business Development for Global ATM Operations

Metron Aviation has announced the appointment of Joe Hof as director of business development for global ATM operations. Prior to joining Metron Aviation, Mr Hof was the national operations manager of international operations at the FAA’s Air Traffic Control System Command Center (ATCSCC), where he was responsible for developing traffic flow management (TFM) processes and procedures with international air navigation service providers.

Mr Hof’s extensive background includes over 35 years experience in the aviation industry. He led the development of air traffic flow management (ATFM) between the US and Mexico and between other states in the Caribbean (CAR) / South American (SAM) regions. He served as the rapporteur of the CAR / SAM region ATFM task force and assisted the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) with the development of a global ATFM manual. At the ATCSCC, Mr Hof also contributed to the development of the international operations procedures utilized on the operational floor, aided in the development of national procedures for projects such as traffic management advisor (TMA) and served as facilitator for national collaborative decision making (CDM) meetings.

“Metron Aviation is delighted to have Joe on the team,” said Dave Basil, senior vice president and general manager, commercial products and solutions. “His extensive experience and breadth of aviation knowledge makes him an invaluable asset for furthering global ATFM.”

“Metron Aviation has always been a leader of innovation in the ATM industry and I know their solutions will usher aviation into the next generation of optimization, efficiency and safety,” said Mr Hof. “I am eager to assist the Metron Aviation team in developing new solutions to harmonize the global aviation industry.”
