Fibre-optic alarm sensor system for airports
FaliTec has the first fibre-optical perimeter sensor on the market. Its goal is to use the FaliSense sensor to provide customers with a flexible and effective perimeter solution that will adapt to their demands. It can be used for different indoor and outdoor airport security applications, including fences, ground sensors and object protection.
The FaliSense system uses a microprocessor controlled evaluation unit with a high sophisticated evaluation algorithm to optimise the sensitivity of the connected fibre-optic sensor cable. The sensor cable can detect any kind of mechanical stress along the maximum length of 400m. It can be used in any environment without electromagnetic interference from thunderstorms or high-voltage lines.
The system is designed to fit or extend any given airport security system with different configurations of digital and analogue input and output ports, as well as different PC and network interfaces. It can also operate as a field hub for other devices to connect them into your software-controlled security network.
The FaliSense control software is able to control and monitor up to 250 sensor units in one network which can be connected to the main server using different network technologies. The software can also be used as a system server, to supply access and monitoring to other management systems.
Video software for monitoring and managing surveillance

The DiViCro main desktop is divided into three desktop areas:
- Connection control
- Video display
- Function control
Different sequences can be programmed and will run automatically, either by pressing a button or being controlled by external sources like OPC controls. All connected cameras can be displayed with a maximum of 25 windows for each server. The windows can be laid freely over the complete monitor system, even in triple or quadro operation.
In the memory area eight different constellations of camera and window layouts can be stored for immediate access by a click. Every connected camera is displayed in the camera directory and colour codes mark the status of each camera.
Alarm warnings are triggered either by motion detection or directly by a user. The time of the recording, the camera identification and the report type are recorded in the report area. The required alarm recorded in the report area is played back by double-clicking on the relevant recording, which is then pasted in the camera window in the show videos area. It can then be controlled in the function control playback mode.
Infrared barrier for airport security
The FaliTec FT-1200 infrared barrier series is one of the highest performing products on the market, creating an invisible and impassable wall. It is possible to raise the barrier up to 5m and to choose between 16 beams (depending on the model). Each column can be configured with respect to the location of the site and configured in order to carry out maintenance. Networking all the columns opens the way to tele-maintenance and video confirmation using the FaliTec software system.
Long-range outdoor motion sensor
Falitec’s FT-1310 is a new generation long-range outdoor motion sensor. It has a long and narrow detection scope that creates a 50m x 3m detection wall. The sensor integrates a microwave antenna with doppler effect as well as a PIR sensor and was designed for reliable long-range detection performances.
It allows you to track intruders inside the protected zone and when associated with a CCTV system, it will become an essential tool to help security officers catch intruders.
Thanks to its long yet narrow detection scope, it is a perfect addition to traditional perimeter airport security solutions.
