Singapore Technologies Engineering (ST Engineering) has teamed up with SurbanaJurong and Changi Airport Planners and Engineers (CAPE) to set up a consortium to participate in airport development projects overseas to meet rapidly growing aviation requirements.

The consortium of Singapore-based companies aims to develop a complete export strategy for this business area with a special focus on Asia Pacific markets and cities.

It will leverage the strengths and corresponding capabilities of the partners and will provide end-to-end solutions with an aim to transform the airport development industry, enhance efficiency and security of airport operations, alongside improving air travel experience.

As part of the consortium, ST Engineering will provide new solutions that power global smart cities and transform airport operations.

SurbanaJurong will deliver services such as master planning of the aerotropolis, infrastructure, services design, and building consultancy for the aviation sector.

CAPE is the lead consultant for airfield engineering for Changi East Development that houses Singapore Changi Airport’s Terminal 5. It will support the partnership using its expertise in airport master planning, airfield and engineering, terminal planning, and project management.

The companies will start defining tender participation needs as part of their strategy to expand the consortium’s presence in target overseas markets. They will also develop best practices and a go-to-market approach suggested by the steering committee.
