Curtiss-Wright and Honeywell have secured Technical Standard Order (TSO) certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for their 25-hour cockpit voice recorder (CVR).
The Honeywell Connected Recorder-25 (HCR-25) is designed based on Curtiss-Wright’s Fortress CVR technology. It is intended for the air transport market.

The recorder is suitable for Class 6 CVR requirements.
Weighing less than 9.5lb, the HCR-25 is equipped with a 90-day underwater locator beacon.

Curtiss-Wright and Honeywell reached a partnership agreement in 2019 to provide airlines with new capabilities for flight data monitoring and analysing.
The companies agreed to develop advanced mandate-compliant voice and data recorders.
