Under the £3.6m contract, the company will deliver the complex machined components to an undisclosed major aerospace firm in the Midlands.

AE Aerospace managing director Peter Bruch said: “With the well-documented reduction in Civil Aerospace work and employment in 2020 due to Covid-19, this new order is a welcome boost to the West Midlands and maintains work in the UK.”

The contract is expected to increase its sales levels that took a hit as Civil Aerospace manufacturing declined due to the impact of Covid-19 on the global aviation industry.

It will also enable the company to continue to provide employment to skilled staff and help deliver extra supply chain work in the West Midlands.
