AirIT has been selected to deliver its virtualised shared use passenger processing system to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) in South Carolina, US.

The deal is part of a four-year terminal renovation and expansion project at GSP, as the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport district plans to deploy AirIT’s EASE advanced platform for passenger processing, for all air carriers during this transitory period to efficiently and effectively facilitate the relocation process.

EASE employs desktop virtualisation technology to securely deliver the native system functionality and does not involve any of the costly airline application development and certification requirements associated with the traditional common use application platforms.

AirIT has already deployed its EASE platform across two dozen US airports, in order to address a variety of business needs by providing a shared infrastructure platform.

Greenville-Spartanburg Airport is the is the second-busiest airport in South Carolina and handled approximately 1.82 million passengers in 2013.
