MorphoTrust US has secured an $85m contract from the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to provide credential authentication technology (E-CAT) for all US airports.
The contract will help in the scanning of passenger credentials at the checkpoints, instead of having to inspect them visually. This technology will automatically check multiple security features to ensure that the passenger documents are original and have not been tampered with or altered.

This information will be verified against the passenger boarding information from TSA’s Secure Flight watchlist matching system once the E-CAT is connected to its network.
