Next-generation aircraft manufacturer Eve Air Mobility has named three more suppliers for its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft as it takes another step forward to commercial production of the vehicle.
The company, which is backed by Embraer, revealed that Garmin will supply its G3000 integrated flight deck of avionics for the vehicle, Intergalactic will provide its thermal management system and Liebherr-Aerospace will supply the flight control actuators.

Eve CEO Johann Bordais said: “Each of our suppliers undergoes a very stringent review that evaluates not only performance and quality of their product but also their dedication to continuous improvement and customer support and satisfaction.
“We are looking forward to a long-term working relationship with each of our suppliers.”
Eve provided more details of what exactly the suppliers will be bringing to the aircraft, explaining that Liebherr will deliver electromechanical actuators for the fly-by-wire flight controls on the eVTOL vehicle, while Intergalactic’s system will regulate the temperature of internal equipment and the aircraft’s cabin.
Eve’s announcement builds further anticipation for the rollout of its vehicle, which it completed the prototype for in May, that will be built at a new production facility being constructed on Embraer’s existing site in São Paulo, Brazil.

By GlobalDataPreviously announced suppliers have also included Nidec Aerospace, which will provide the electric propulsion system; BAE Systems, which is supplying the energy storage system and DUC Helices Propellers, which will supply the rotors and propellers.
The Embraer subsidiary is one of a number of companies attempting to finally get the eVTOL industry up and running as part of the next generation of aircraft.
While no eVTOL aircraft has entered commercial production yet, the industry has seen a number of positive steps, including Joby’s first pilot testing of its aircraft and the US FAA’s recent partnership with the Air Force to share data on the aircraft ahead of their integration into the National Airspace System.
