Quanergy Systems and iinside have formed a strategic partnership to offer LiDAR-based smart motion analytics to airports to help them easily monitor, analyse, predict and optimise passenger flows.
LiDAR is a 3D imaging technology that uses safe, invisible laser beams to detect objects both in motion and at rest. Using the new solution, airport operators can get a 360-degree view of their facilities and monitor the flow of passengers in real-time.
Quanergy’s M8 LiDAR sensor has been designed to offer improved performance in crowded environments such as airports.
A single Quanergy M8 sensor is capable of capturing the exact coordinates and velocity of every person within 30,000m².

Pursuant to the terms of the collaboration, iinside’s analytics platform will integrate data from Quanergy sensors to provide insights that improve the passenger journey, enhance airport operations and empower travellers through its API Travel Time platform.
Additionally, iinside’s visual analytics allow airport operations to act upon data-driven insights that improve efficiency and offer satisfaction to passengers.
