Aviation logistics specialist Menzies Aviation has renewed its ground services contract with China Airlines, Fiji Airways, Virgin Australia, Thai Airways and Air Calin in Australia and New Zealand.
Menzies will continue to provide its services to China Airlines at Sydney (SYD), Melbourne (MEL) and Brisbane (BNE) airports.
This renewed contract marks the ten-year partnership between China Airlines and Menzies, which began in Sydney.
In addition to China Airlines, Menzies also extended its contracts with Thai Airways at Sydney and Melbourne airports.
Under this contract, Menzies will continue to offer passenger and ramp services for Thai Airways at these two airports.
In New Zealand, the aviation services provider renewed its contract with Fiji Airways and will continue to provide air cargo handling services at Wellington (WLG), Christchurch (CHC) and Auckland (AKL) airports.
Menzies starts its partnership with Fiji Airways in 2011.
It has established itself as a Cargo Terminal Operator (CTO) at Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland airports. It operates warehouses in Auckland and Christchurch, as well as a new facility at Wellington.
Virgin Australia appointed Menzies as its new CTO at these three airports in New Zealand.
In addition to Virgin Australia, Menzies will remain Air Calin’s CTO in Auckland and Sydney airports.
Air Calin and Menzies have been working together for 15 years.
Menzies Aviation Oceania and South East Asia executive vice-president Alistair Reid said: “It is fantastic to see the momentum we have achieved across Australia and New Zealand with this series of key contract wins and renewals.
“These wins demonstrate Menzies’ consistent standards of excellence across both ground services and cargo and the value of long-term co-operation with our airline customers. We’re looking forward to further deepening these relationships and to continued growth in the Oceania region.”
In January, Menzies Aviation received ground services contracts from seven carriers in Mexico.
