Keeping Travellers Connected on the Fly

Around the globe billions of people engage in air travel every year. According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) the airlines are expecting a 31% increase or an additional 930 million passengers by 2017, bringing the total number of travellers to 3.91 billion annually. Airlines and airports are seeking ways to improve the experience for these travellers and keep air travel on the upswing. Implementing different technologies is one way to enhance the passenger experience.

Airports are dedicating a larger portion of their revenue to technology to not only improve operations and enhance safety, but to keep passengers satisfied. In fact, according to the 2013 SITA survey 68% of airports consider improving the passenger experience as the number one driver of IT investments.
