Germany and the UK replaced their current ASTERIX test and evaluation tool with COMSOFT’s latest development in this sector: RAPS-3

German Air Navigation Service Provider DFS and British NATS, both belonging to the first RAPS-II customers, are certain about the advantages of the next generation of COMSOFT’s successful ASTERIX Test and Reference tool. They recently replaced the former technology step by step with the RAPS-3 system and additionally acquired further new devices.

RAPS-3 stands for the latest release of the sophisticated ASTERIX test and reference tool RAPS-II. It hosts the only EUROCONTROL qualified software package of this kind and is also recommended by the RDE-FG, the body responsible for the further evolution of the ASTERIX standard. The product is capable of auto configuration, supports multiple user environments and can be controlled by third-party tools in automated test environments. RAPS-3 being a portable surveillance product is now also available as a military-certified, ruggedized COMPACT version.

The RAPS product line was first launched on the market in 1994 and is gaining popularity among air navigation service providers throughout the world. This year COMSOFT exhibits its most successful products – including RAPS-3 – at the ATC Global 2008 Exhibition & Conference in Amsterdam.
