Wanzl

Wanzl has already enjoyed a flying start to the year at airports around the globe. Airports in France, Chile, Argentina, the United Arab Emirates and Turkmenistan have ordered a total of over 7,500 luggage transport trolleys and duty-free trolleys. Wanzl, the world market leader in luggage transport trolleys, is soaring to new heights in airport luggage and shopping.

Marseille: 1,800 Combi C 400 trolleys

Wanzl clearly set itself apart from the competition for Marseille Airport. The German Headquarters, together with its French subsidiary, has won a five-year contract to supply and maintain 1,800 Combi C 400 luggage transport trolleys in sturdy steel, individually adapted to the customer’s requirements.

A special feature on this trolley are the four original Wanzl travelator castors for safe-standing on the moving walkways through the terminals. The trolleys are also equipped with a coin deposit system, which returns the coin to the customer when the trolley is brought back.

Santiago de Chile: 2,600 Voyager 3000 trolleys

Wanzl is pleased to announce a new customer in Chile – "Arturo Merino Benítez" Airport in Santiago de Chile has ordered 2,600 Voyager 3000 luggage transport trolleys. The airport consortium Nuevo Pudahuel, which was founded in April 2015, was won over by the design, dependable technology and high quality of the German trolleys.

Companies in the consortium which include Aéroports de Paris (AdP), Vinci Group and the Italian construction firm Astaldi handle over 17 million passengers every year and are keen to offer first-class luggage transport quality, with one eye also on the future – a new terminal is under construction as passenger capacity is expected to rise to 30 million by 2020.

Buenos Aires: 1,500 Combi C 400 trolleys

From Buenos Aires comes a follow-up order for over 1,500 Combi C 400 luggage transport trolleys from the airport operator Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 (AA 2000). Wanzl has enjoyed "preferred partner" status here since 2010 and AA 2000 operates 33 airports in Argentina. The Wanzl trolleys stand out not only thanks to their workmanship, quality and durability, but also due to their unmistakable appearance – they are easy to recognise even from a distance with their bright red handle units and plastic elements.

Dubai: 600 Airport Shopper NG trolleys

To coincide with the opening of "Concourse D", the fourth pier at Dubai Airport, Wanzl is adding 600 new Airport Shopper NG trolleys to the existing fleet of duty-free trolleys replacing the previous Airport Shopper CL model. "Dubai Duty Free", the world’s leading duty-free vendor, will now have over 4,200 Airport Shoppers in circulation, making shopping at the airport a unique experience.

Ashgabat / Turkmenistan: 750 Travel 300 and 270 Easy 400 trolleys

A brand new airport is currently under construction in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, and is due to open soon. The Turkey-based company Polimek, which has been a customer of Wanzl since 2010, is responsible for the construction and operation of the airport.
