Gatwick Airport Limited has raised £300m ($420.35m) through the issuance of international bonds in a public offering.

The bonds will pay an annual interest rate of 3.25%, until they mature on 26 February 2048.

Bangkok Airways Public Co Ltd, a provider of air transportation and airport services in Thailand, has signed a code-share agreement with Israeli international airline carrier El Al Israel Airlines Ltd to provide passengers with connections in Thailand and neighbour countries.

The agreement will cover nine domestic and international routes from Bangkok to Samui, Chiang Rai, Danang, Chiang Mai, Phnom Penh, Lampang, Trat, Sukhothai, and Siem Reap.

The agreement will allow the two airlines to enhance their respective route networks.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Wideroe’s Flyveselskap AS (Wideroe Airlines) have signed a codeshare agreement to jointly provide passengers with a number of travel options in Norway.

KLM will place its KL code on Norwegian domestic routes operated by Wideroe, allowing passengers to board the aircraft of both airlines to travel to a number of destinations in Norway under the same booking reference.

KLM is the flag carrier of the Netherlands, while Wideroe Airlines is a regional airline based in Norway.

US-based engineering services firm Parsons has secured a contract to provide design and construction services for the redevelopment of Terminal One at Newark Liberty International Airport.

Parsons will form a joint venture with Tutor Perini Corporation to design and build a 33-gate common-use terminal building and ramp, covering one million square feet.

Awarded by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), the contract also covers construction of a pedestrian walkway, a bridge, and related infrastructure.

Expected to be operational by 2022, the new terminal will incorporate retail, dining, and other amenities.
