UK-based International Currency Exchange (ICE) has been selected as the sole foreign exchange provider at Edinburgh Airport.

Under the contract, ICE will offer foreign exchange and prepaid currency card services at the airport for five years, starting from May.

ICE currently operates five branches in the airport’s arrivals and departure halls.

Twelve multi-currency ATMs have also been installed to provide passengers with quick access to euros.

Foreign exchange services are a core part of any airport offering and it was important we selected a provider that understood the customer and were focused on delivering convenience and value."

With the contract, ICE has replaced American Express, which had been offering services at the airport.

According to Edinburgh Airport, it welcomed approximately 9.8 million passengers 2013, representing the busiest year ever for a Scottish airport.
