General aviation activity and total aircraft operations, which combines take-offs and landings, increased by 12.8% and 7.1% respectively and commuter aircraft operations saw a rise of 31.9%.

However, there was a decrease in the amount of air cargo and international passengers handled in the month, as they respectively saw a decrease of 7.4% and 11.7%.

The number of total international aircraft operations dropped 15% and there was a reported decrease of 5.9% in commercial aircraft operations.

During the four months of this year, the airport served 2.94 million passengers, which is 2.1% higher compared with the same period in the previous year.

Total aircraft operations during this period totalled 83,698, marking a year-on-year increase of 2%.

Commercial aircraft operations decreased 6.6% to 25,111, while commuter aircraft operations rose by 51.3% to 1,188.

Air cargo totalled 5,868, representing an increase of 1.1%.
