The UK’s Gatwick Airport is set to open a new lounge, developed by CoolBrand No.1 Traveller, at its north terminal in July.

The new ‘My Lounge’ will offer an improved area for passengers to relax before their departure.

According to No.1 Traveller, it offers the exclusivity and amenities of a traditional airport lounge, without the formality.

Featuring floor to ceiling windows, it has free, unlimited WiFi, a games room, phone charging points, big screen TVs, daily newspapers, magazines, space for dining and Premium Security Lane access.

"We’re introducing ‘My Lounge’ because we know there is a more laid-back traveller who wants to try our award-winning service in a more informal, social setting."

No.1 Traveller CEO and founder Phil Cameron said: "We knew there was demand for a top-end, exclusive airport experience when we created No.1 lounges five years ago.

"We’re introducing ‘My Lounge’ because we know there is a more laid-back traveller who wants to try our award-winning service in a more informal, social setting.

"Our design team has been uncompromising with the look and feel of the lounge, the food and drink, and the service our staff will offer, so we’re proud to be offering another smart alternative to a conventional lounge. Gatwick Airport continues to break new ground with passenger experience, so [it] is a fantastic launch pad for this new product."

Gatwick Airport London development director William McGillivray said: "London Gatwick is pleased to welcome ‘My Lounge’ to the north terminal as we continue to cater for both business and leisure passengers.

"We work closely with brands such as the successful No.1 Traveller to provide facilities to meet the demand of these travellers as we compete to grow."

Adults can get access to the lounge by paying £16 through online booking at bookmylounge.com, or £18 on the door. Children aged between 2-11 are charged £10.
