A Hill and Red Brick joint venture (JV) has won a contract to provide programme management services at Phoenix Airport as part of the Phoenix Aviation Department’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP).

The $47.5m base contract will be valid for a period of three years with a two-year extension option.

The CIP consists of a five-year development plan for projects at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Phoenix Goodyear Airport, and Phoenix Deer Valley Airport.

It includes the Terminal 3 Modernisation Program, Terminal 4 S1 Concourse Project, and Phoenix Sky Train Stage 2 Project. Those projects are in addition to other terminals, airfield, parking, cargo, general office, and facilities projects.

“We will build on our current work for the city to streamline reporting; create opportunities for small, local, and disadvantaged businesses; and maintain PHX’s reputation as America’s Friendliest Airport.”

Hill and Red Brick will be responsible for offering the CIP management services that will help city staff to use a qualified vendor list of firms to form a collaborative and integrated CIP management team.

In addition to delivering CIP management services, the team will offer estimating, scheduling, and other project management-related services

Hill vice-president and Project Management Group Phoenix operations manager Robert Valerio said: “Since 1999, Hill has provided specialised services in helping our Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport client manage and control complex programmes and projects like the city’s CIP.

“We will build on our current work for the city to streamline reporting; create opportunities for small, local, and disadvantaged businesses; and maintain PHX’s reputation as America’s Friendliest Airport.”
