Jotron is pleased to announce that it has entered into a contract with the Thai system integrator RTS (2003) Co. Ltd that will see its recording and replay technology Ricochet used at six sites throughout Thailand.

Under the terms of the agreement, which includes the resale to end-user Aerothai, 2256 audio channels will be recorded, with 18 systems installed at the sites.

Jotron, which designs and manufactures high-quality communication products and systems for land, sea and air applications, will supply a main, a fallback and a training system to each of the six sites. Tungmahamek ACC in Bangkok will install the largest of the systems. The project is likely to be completed by August 2015.

Ricochet supports all of the different audio formats, and has gained a reputation of being one of the most stable recording solutions worldwide.

Training solutions will be installed in the near future and will benefit air traffic controllers, supervisors and management for both training and quality improvement purposes.

RTS (2003) project manager Akarapon Chanchucherd said: "Recording and replaying of audio forms the basis in an ATC investigation. Our analysts pledge to design the best solution for our customers in all possible ways. Ricochet has been used in ATC with great success for many years and complies with international security standards. The choice was simple."

Jotron’s ATC and Coastal Communications Division director Morten Gjersoe said: "We are pleased to see that Ricochet is the preferred recording solution in a constantly increasing number of Asian countries."
