We are pleased to announce that we now offer ATSEP Refresher training for instructors and assessors. These courses are both one day in duration, and maintain and deepen the knowledge of already competent ATSEP instructors and assessors.

Like many of our other open courses, the training is scheduled to take place in a Virtual Classroom. This gives participants the flexibility to follow their course from any location, while still getting the live interaction with teachers and fellow students that is so important to their learning experience.

ATSEP OJTI REFRESHER

This course ensures that already competent ATSEP OJTIs maintain knowledge and understanding acquired, and even deepen it in some objectives.

It is also the aim to enhance performance, motivation, and confidence in a wide variety of training events and situations. Additionally, the course is designed to review, reinforce, and enhance the existing competence of the ATSEP OJTI Refresher student in order to provide safe, efficient, and successful training.

Course structure

This is a 1-day course in which we use various training methods: classroom lessons, group work/discussions, exercises, interactive classroom, and scaffolding teaching.This results in a blend of classroom lessons, group work/discussions, exercises, and case studies.

The course covers topics such as, but not limited to:

  • Reinforce understanding and use of the standard OJTI techniques
  • Enhance the use of various tools when meeting challenges in training of students
  • Refresh knowledge about learning and essential aspects to enhance motivation
  • Enhance the use of effective verbal communication, non-verbal communication, and effective listening skills during the training and assessment of competence

ATSEP ASSESSOR REFRESHER

The aim of the course is to ensure that already competent ATSEP assessors maintain knowledge and understanding regarding safe and efficient assessment of colleagues and/or students in the operational environment.

Additionally, the course aims to enhance assessors’ safety awareness, communication skills, and teamwork.

Course structure

This is a 1-day course in which we use various training methods: classroom lessons, group work/discussions, exercises, interactive classroom, and scaffolding teaching.

The course covers topics such as, but not limited to:

  • Reinforcing assessors’ understanding and use of the assessment techniques/methods
  • Refresh knowledge of regulatory requirements for competence assessors and competence assessment scheme
  • Enhance understanding of how to objectively measure operational competence
  • Enhance the use of effective verbal communication, non-verbal communication and effective listening skills during the assessment of competence
