Jewers Doors will exhibit its range of Esavian aircraft hangar doors on stand 5310 in the UK Pavilion at the Airport Show in Dubai, UAE.

The Middle East has been an important market for Jewers Doors for many years. The company has designed and installed its Type 126 Esavian doors in Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. At Dubai International Airport (DXB) there are now Esavian doors for A380 aircraft hangars spanning 1,104m.

The Dubai branch of UK-based Jewers Doors is currently handling two projects in the UAE for the supply and installation of Esavian Type 126 sliding doors. First, for a production facility at Al Ain International Airport where defence technology development and manufacturing company, Calidus will assemble its B-250, claimed to be the first military fighter ever developed in the UAE.

Second, for a new helicopter hangar as part of the expansion of Fujairah International Airport. The work is funded by the Federal Government in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Airports company and is part of development plans by Sheikh Hamad Al Sharqi, the Ruler of Fujairah, the only emirate fronting the Indian Ocean.

Other projects by Jewers Doors include supplying a sliding plenum door for a refurbished paint hangar to RAFO Thumrait airbase military airport in Dhofar Governorate, Oman. Plenum doors provide controlled airflow in aircraft paint hangars.

Jewers Doors also designs and manufactures a range of industrial doors and a set of Osprey top-hung, multi-leaf folding doors are being supplied for the Royal Oman Police helicopter hangar at Haima, the capital of the central region of Oman called Al Wusta Governorate.

Jewers Doors exhibits regularly at the annual Airport Show, held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group. This 19th edition of the show includes two co-located events, the return of Airport Security Middle East and the ATC Forum for professionals across the global air traffic management industry. It is expected to attract more than 7,500 visitors from around the globe to the 115,000m² Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC).

Jewers Doors will exhibit on stand 5310 at the Airport Show in the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) 29 April to 1 May 2019. The stand is in the UK Pavilion, which is supported by the British Aviation Group.
