Actelis Networks has secured multi-year contracts to upgrade and digitise networks at major airports in seven countries across three continents.
Under the contract, Actelis will roll out Internet of Things (IoT) networks at airports located in the US, Japan, the UK and other countries.

The company will implement fibre-grade networks extending fibre communication over existing copper infrastructures.
This is said to connect remote airport areas and enable freight monitoring and upgrades to airport operations.
According to the company, this will, in turn, establish reliable communications to ensure always-on connectivity for mission-critical IoT installations.
Actelis said that its signal processing software and hardware improve the rate, reach and reliability of existing copper and offer innate network security.

By GlobalDataThe company also said that the overhaul of the communication system would facilitate more effective real-time monitoring as well as visibility into airport operation systems.
In addition, the modernisation of communication systems would enable IoT data sharing across departments.
This is expected to result in improved safety and efficiency gains at scale.
