The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has began testing a voluntary passenger pre-screening initiative at four US airports to enhance security.

The airports are Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International, Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County, Dallas/Fort Worth International and Miami International.

The PreCheck programme will help assess measures designed to enhance security by placing more focus on pre-screening individuals who volunteer information about themselves prior to flying.

If successful, the pilot programme will be extended to additional airlines and other airports that participate in the US Customs and Border Protection’s Global Entry programme.
