Sacramento International Airport in California, US, has opened its new $1bn Terminal B, which was designed by Corgan Associates in collaboration with Fentress Architects.
The $1bn Terminal B, called the Big Build, includes a new central terminal, a new 19-gate airside concourse, international arrivals facilities, passenger security checkpoints, an in-line baggage screening system and more than 42,000ft2 of concessions.
The new terminal, which will have three public level arrivals / departures areas and a dual shuttle automated people mover system, will expand the airport’s capacity to 16 million passengers a year.
