OMA records rise in September traffic

Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte (OMA) reported a 10.2% increase in passenger traffic at its 13 airports during September 2011 compared with the corresponding month in 2010.

Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte (OMA) reported a 10.2% increase in passenger traffic at its 13 airports during September 2011 compared with the corresponding month in 2010.

The airport operator recorded a 12.2% rise in domestic passengers during the month while international traffic fell by 2.2%.

Out of OMA’s total traffic for the month, 96.8% was commercial aviation and 3.2% was general aviation.

The total number of flight operations (take-offs and landings) in September 2011 increased by 10.4% compared with September 2010.

Domestic flights rose by 13% and international flights fell by 5.7%.
