Nashville International Airport in Tennessee, US, has completed the installation of an in-line explosive detection system for screening checked baggage.

The new system improves the safety and security of the screening process for checked baggage by filtering all baggage through improved explosive screening machines.

The new system allows passengers to drop off baggage at the airline ticket check-in counter and board the plane, and increases available space in the ticketing lobby by removing the old screening machines.

The in-line explosive detection system was installed by Messer Construction and partners Sunago Builders, CMG Painting, Transolutions and Gipson Mechanical.
