The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) will install communication equipment at the northern sector of the new Aminu Kano Airport Tower under its N400m ($2.45m) VHF Radio Project and its Safe Tower Project to sustain the quality of the country’s air traffic services.

The VHF Radio Project will provide an extended network of communication capabilities for air traffic controllers and will enhance pilot air-to-ground and ground-to-ground communication across the Nigerian airspace.

The equipment will help the agency to begin area radar control.
