Myrtle Beach Airport to install new baggage screening system

Myrtle Beach International Airport, which is located at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, US, has received a $6.2m grant from the US Transportation Security Authority for a new baggage screening system to be used at its newly expanded terminal.

Myrtle Beach International Airport, which is located at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, US, has received a $6.2m grant from the US Transportation Security Authority for a new baggage screening system to be used at its newly expanded terminal.

The new system will screen checked bags and will help improve baggage screening efficiency and boost security.

The project will cost $10.4m and the new system is expected to be operational by January 2013.
