Passenger traffic at Muscat International Airport for August 2011 rose to 4,242,645 passengers, a 13% increase on the figure reported for same month in 2010.
Muscat reported a 16% increase in the number of arrivals to 2,134,818 passengers for August this year compared with August 2010 and a 14% increase in departing passengers to 2,061,458 compared with August 2010.
The airport reported a 3% increase in unloaded and loaded freight, with total shipments reaching 65,800t compared with 63,907t in 2010.
