Kazakhstan flag carrier Air Astana has awarded a contract to ARINC to provide AviNet Airport connectivity and messaging platform for its current and legacy airport applications.

Additionally, the airline has also renewed and extended its contract for the company’s Type B Messaging platform.

ARINC EMEA Aviation Solutions senior director Alexis Hickox said that the company has communication experience and deploys internet technology for aviation messaging.

"AviNet messaging solutions seamlessly integrate into a customer’s own operational environment, while allowing the use of industry standard product design, formats and templates," Hickox said.

The AviNet Messaging platform uses the internet to offers efficient access to International Air Transport Association (IATA) Type B Messaging from any location globally from any computer.

"ARINC’s AviNet Airport and AviNet Messaging solutions will offer connectivity in a short timespan at a competitive price."

The technology is aimed at meeting the air transport industry’s requirement of high-performance messaging and networking, with the core network operating at full availability.

ARINC’s AviNet Airport and AviNet Messaging solutions will offer connectivity in a short timespan at a competitive price.

The AviNet Airport, incorporated with the company’s Multi-User System Environment (MUSE) platform, will offer an enhanced network service to allow accessing mission-critical departure control systems.

MUSE solution leverages existing IT assets to a maximum extent and allows multiple airlines and airport support operations to deploy the same basic information system, further eliminating complicated interfaces while reducing the need for redundant resources.

ARINC’s solutions have been used by around 3,000 organisations round the world.
