Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Gujarat, India, is planning to install laser guns to scare birds away from the area.

The laser guns will be installed at the airport upon successful completion of a demonstration and will replace existing liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) scare guns.

The gun lets out a green beam to a distance of about 1km in an effort to scare birds and keep them away from airport premises.

The laser guns have also been tested at India’s Mumbai Airport.
