Kalamazoo / Battle Creek International Airport in the US will build a new air traffic control (ATC) tower using a $7m in funds from the government.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will build the tower, while the government will make annual allocations for the project, which is estimated to cost between $20m and $30m.

The project will also include installation of air traffic control equipment. The new tower is expected to be ready for use by 2014.
