The European Commission has approved the acquisition of London Gatwick Airport by Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) under the EU Merger Regulations.
Following a ruling by the Competition Commission, BAA sold the airport to GIP, which also owns three-quarters of London City Airport.
Recently announced Gatwick board members include chair Sir David Rowlands, GIP partners Michael McGhee and Bill Woodburn, former managing director of BAA International Andrew Jurenko and former Bechtel partner James van Hoften.
