ADB Funding for Papua New Guinea’s Aviation Development

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $480m multitranche financing facility to aid the civil aviation development investment programme in Papua New Guinea. As part of a $640m upgrade proposal, the Papua New Guinea Government will make improvements across 21 of its airports.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $480m multitranche financing facility to aid the civil aviation development investment programme in Papua New Guinea.

As part of a $640m upgrade proposal, the Papua New Guinea Government will make improvements across 21 of its airports.

The funds will help the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) rebuild the airports and conduct upgrades to meet International Civil Aviation Organisation safety and security standards.
