Construction on the new $63m terminal complex at Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport in the US is due to return to schedule by the end of the month.
The 120,000ft² new terminal had fallen a few weeks behind schedule due to hazardous weather conditions and the last-minute expansion to its baggage handling area.
The $318m airport project is now about 79% complete with final completion expected by 18 May 2010.
Currently the general aviation area is undergoing site preparation works while terminal utilities will be completed by the end of the month.
A test flight is being planned for the new 8,400ft concrete runway on 18 January 2010 and the new air traffic control tower will be complete by February 2010.
